How to play Ringcord: rules, scoring and switchboard tips
Everything you need to play Ringcord, plus tips to get a better score.
How to play
- ☎️ A 90-second shift at the village switchboard: put every call through before the caller hangs up.
- 🔌 Tap the ringing light, then the person in its balloon (icon and number). Dragging the cord works too.
- ⏱️ The circle around a ringing light is the caller's patience. When it empties, they hang up: a missed call.
- 🧵 You only have 4 to 6 cords. When a call ends, both lights blink red: tap one to unplug and get the cord back.
- ❌ The wrong person costs 25 points and the caller loses 2 seconds of patience.
- ⛔ Busy line (from Tuesday): someone on the phone can't take another call. Wait until they hang up.
- 🚨 Urgent calls (from Wednesday): red balloon, less patience, double points.
- 👥 Conference calls (weekends): the caller wants two people at once. Connect both, with two cords.
- ⭐ 100 points per call plus up to 50 for answering fast; urgent calls double. Your score is compared with a perfect operator: 85 % or more is ⭐⭐⭐, 65 % is ⭐⭐.
- ⏸️ Hiding the tab pauses the shift and covers the board. Reloading ends today's shift with the points you had. Practice as much as you like afterwards.
- 🐢 Relaxed mode (settings): 50 % more patience for everyone, marked with a turtle when you share.
Three tips from seasoned operators
Unplug as soon as a call blinks red. A finished call still holds its cord, and at rush hour a free cord is worth more than anything.
Look at urgent calls first. They wait less and score double, so a quick urgent call is worth two ordinary ones.
Learn where the icons are during the countdown. The board changes every day, and the seconds you spend searching are the seconds your callers lose.
